Community Yoga Gives Back
Community Yoga is committed to SEVA, service to the community for the sake of service. Each year, Community Yoga chooses a worthy charity and spends the year finding ways to donate time, goods/services and money. Join us as we head into our 13th year of giving back all the gifts we are blessed with every day!
Express Class
Give yourself a breather in the middle of the day. This 45 minute class is Community Yoga’s way of giving back to our students as well as offering new students an opportunity to take advantage of a discounted price of $10 per class. Classes are held Wednesday 10:15 – 11:00 and 11:15 -12:00 pm and Friday, 11:15 – 12:00 pm
(No classes passes – Monthly/ 5/ 10 class – are NOT accepted for this class due to the already low cost.)
Sacred Women’s Circle:
Make a commitment, its not always convenient but make it happen 1 day a month. Being in these Circles never “just happens.” Your calendar will never just automatically pop up an alert that says “Women’s Circle” without you putting it there. Intention is necessary.
Being in Circle Invites Support
Being in Circle Invites Accountability
Being in Circle Invites Brainstorming, Feedback, and Ideas
Being in Circle Invites Fun
I see the Sacred Circle as an opening to connect with other amazing women. This is a safe space, where we have a variety of topics ranging from simple sharing to vision boards, health topics, etc. We share thoughts, ideas, concerns, and even laughter through this monthly offering….all to open and to engage our minds to interesting possibilities.
Yoga Nidra – first Sunday of the month at noon
Yoga nidra or yogic sleep is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, like the “going-to-sleep” stage. It is a state in which the body is completely relaxed. This state of consciousness is different from meditation in which concentration on a single focus is required. In yoga nidra the practitioner remains in a state of light consciousness. The yogic goal of both paths, deep relaxation (yoga nidra) and meditation are the same, a state called samadhi. Yoga nidra is among the deepest possible states of relaxation while still maintaining full consciousness.
Again, donations are greatly appreciated for this service class ($10 recommended or canned goods). All donations go to our charity (see above).
